Even Burberry, who first introduced the check to line their trench coats in 1920, shied away from the print for a few years while they breathed new life into the brand at the helm of creative director Christoper Bailey.
But now the British fashion house is cashing in on the revival, with a more subtle version of gingham in a collection of scarves, snoods (scarf/hood) and even trainers as Emma Watson fronts the campaign to turn square cool again.
